Old barns and farms are a reminder of an era gone by and important history of the rural Midwestern United States. So many tall majestic barns have been replaced with subdivisions and strip malls. But through my Barn and Farm Photography Gallery their memory still lives on. The photographs are a tribute to the rural and the rustic.
Many of the rustic photographs in my collection are from a 100+ year old dairy farm in Wisconsin. A farmer was demolishing it to make way for a new modern pole barn. I took the pictures right before it came down. Luckily however, the fantastic rustic barn wood still lives on. My husband and I were able to claim the wood and recycle it for our home.
